Thank You For Joining Us In Greece!
Welcome to our wedding website! We can’t wait to share our special day with you.
Wedding Information
Our dream is to get married in Greece, and we are finally making it happen! Our wedding will take place on the island of Paros. It’s an island in the Cyclades that can be described as quintessential Greece. It’s full of charming seaside villages, gorgeous beaches, blue water, and white-washed homes. There will be plenty of wonderful wine, food, and sunshine. You can read our article to give you an idea of some things to do on Paros!
The Wedding — Monday, September, 5th
- Wedding Address: Paralia Lolantonis (GPS)
- Ceremony Time: 16:00 (You are welcome to arrive earlier for wine and fun!)
- Reception Address: Port Of Naoussa (GPS)
- Reception Time: 18:30 – 00:00
Wedding Attire
Wedding attire is beach casual. You can see an example of two outfits above for both men and women. We suggest men wear a nice linen or button-down shirt with chinos or dress pants. A nice dress is perfect for women and will be comfortable in the warm Greek weather.
Please, no floral prints or loud colors. We’re on an island, so sandals are more than welcome! If you have more questions about what to wear in Greece, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We also have a Greece packing list guide with some inspirational photos.
(If you’d like, you can pack a swimsuit for the reception!) 😉
Travel Information
You can reach the island by ferry or plane. We recommend that everyone fly into Athens and take a short flight to Paros or to Santorini/Mykonos. We do not recommend the ferry to Paros if you’re limited on time as it is possible for the Meltemi winds to blow in September, which can delay the ferry. This tends not to be an issue for the intra-island ferries in the Cyclades. If you need assistance with flights or travel planning, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
Airports
Mykonos
Santorini
There are no international flights to the island of Paros. Paros (PAS) does have multiple flights a day with Aegean and Olympic Airways from Athens. Mykonos and Santorini are nearby famous islands with direct flights from many major European cities. These two islands are the most famous destinations in Greece. They are both staggeringly beautiful, making them very expensive and crowded. You can take a direct ferry from either island to Paros, which makes them a nice stop en route.
- PAS (Paros)
- JMK (Mykonos)
- JTR (Santorini)
Ferry Routes
The Greek islands are connected by an extensive ferry system. If you choose to fly a day or two in early, you can connect Paros with Mykonos, Santorini, or Athens. The ferry from Athens is four hours long, and if the wind picks up can be delayed. However, the ferry from Mykonos and Santorini is reliable enough and has multiple daily options.
We use Ferry Hopper to check ferry times, and you can book tickets in advance online. Ferry ports can be confusing in Greece, and they often charge more when you walk up to the port. If you wish to travel around after Paros, the island is well connected to Naxos and Milos – two of our favorite islands!
Travel Around the Island
It’s super easy to get around the islands of Paros. Roads are quiet, and most destinations can be reached in a half hour from anywhere on the island. The best way to do this is with a car rental, but you can also rent a motorbike, quad, or beach buggy.
- Local Rental Company (Cars, ATVs, Scooters) – ParosEuropeanRent
- Car Booking Platform – Discover Car Hire
Where To Stay
There are plenty of amazing places to stay on the Island of Paros. As mentioned previously you can get anywhere on the island in under 30 minutes, so it’s up to you where you want to stay on Paros! We love to stay in an apartment or home rental in Greece as we find them more comfortable. We use Booking.com in Greece, but there are plenty of websites to book rentals. The towns we recommend booking in are:
- Drios
- Golden Beach
- Aliki
- Naousa
Wedding Registry
As many of you know, we don’t lead the most traditional lives. We are asking for nontangible wedding gifts and instead focusing on our honeymoon and first home down payment.
Recommended Extra Destinations
Greece
The Cyclades are full of wonderful islands. We will head to Tinos after the wedding. It’s not our honeymoon, so you’re welcome to join us on the trip. However, we can recommend a few other islands that are close by.
- Naxos
- Milos
- Santorini
- Mykonos
- Serifos
- Sifnos
Europe
If you’d like to add another destination to your trip, we suggest you fly in or out of Santorini or Mykonos. You can use either of these airports to visit many other European cities. We love to use Skyscanner to search for routes, but to give you an idea of some destinations with direct flights from these cities. Our suggestions would be a flight to Milan for a trip to the Dolomites, Paris for the coast of Normandy, Amsterdam as it’s the best European city, and London as you can take the train to Scotland.
Cities with direct flights to Santorini or Mykonos
- London
- Budapest
- Munich
- Berlin
- Milan
- Madrid
- Zurich
- Geneva
- Oslo
- Paris
- Amsterdam
- Dublin
Villa Guests
We have a villa booked for those staying with us, which will also host our ceremony. We’re keeping the villa a surprise for guests, but every room is ensuite. It has a full kitchen, bar, A/C, satellite TV, pool, wifi, laundry facilities, and a daily maid. Bathrooms are equipped with shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner, men’s hair and body wash, and liquid soap. It’s a three-minute walk to the beach with a bar/restaurant and a few minutes drive to Drios.
If you have any questions or requests, please let us know. We will be sure to notify the villa company. We hope to check in as early as possible on the day of arrival, but that is subject to availability. Standard check-in is not until 4 pm. We recommend arriving in Europe by September 2nd so you can get at least one night of sleep before the week starts.
